It does, but the phone is powered off. I put it in lost mode, which means that whoever turns it on will get a message to call my phone number. If I don’t get that in 24 hrs, I’m going to brick the phone.

Sounds like time for him to realize how expensive these things are, by having to buy one himself. Plenty of adequate new Android phones for around $200, or if that would be too much, refurbs are half of that.

Pretty sure it was shut off. I have activated the lost phone feature, and I will get an alert if somebody powers it up, and a location, assuming it is connected to the internet. For that reason, I am holding off on blocking the phone number. If I hear nothing in 24 hours, I’ll brick it and he gets to mow the lawn for the next 10 years.

It would have to be an iPhone, since I would restore it from the cloud. But he damn sure ain’t getting a shiny new one. My phone was bought from Swappa.

That’s what he has. I say “has” because he found it. Otherwise, I’d say they’re probably close to $100. I recently bought a 6S for a bit more than $200.
